What You Need to Get Started
In order to complete your DUI education requirement through this site, you must have the following:

  1. Evaluation report or verification information faxed to and received by Intervention Instruction prior to enrollment. Include your name and e-mail address on the fax. Fax to 773.404.9750.

A. If Your DUI Case was Tried in Illinois
You must fax your Alcohol and Drug Evaluation Report to 773.404.9750.

OR
B. If You are Registering for a DUI Received Outside Illinois
You must supply verification that you have confirmed with your individual court monitor that DUI Class Online will satisfy the requirements of that state’s court order.

  1. Confirm that your county is approved. To register, your case MUST be in a county where the chief justice has given written permission approving use of DUI Class Online.

  2. Acknowledgement of Client Rights Statement
    Read, sign and submit this form.

  3. Access to a computer with an Internet connection
  4. Windows 98 or higher; Apple 9.0 or higher
  5. Personal email address you will use throughout the program
  6. Internet Explorer 5.0 or better; Netscape 4.7 or better Internet browser
  7. CD-ROM drive
  8. Flash MX plug-in
    If you do not have the Flash MX plug-in when you begin the course, you will be provided a link directing you to the Macromedia Flash web site where you can download the Flash MX plug-in for free.
  9. Valid credit card

About DUI Class Online

  • Components: The class uses course material on CD-ROM that will be mailed to you after Intervention Instruction has confirmed all the requirements, including receiving the alcohol report and your registration payment. The CD-ROM you will receive integrates with online security features to monitor access, scoring, assignments, etc. You will also receive a Certificate of Completion when you finish and pass the class.
  • Class Length: The class is divided into 4 sessions with a 48-hour lockout in between each session. You will need to complete the program over a minimum of 8 days and in no more than 30 days.
  • Time Restrictions: Once you register, you will have 30 days to activate the course (i.e., log-in for the first time). Once you have activated the course, you will have 30 days to complete the program. 
  • Tech Support: Technical support will be available via the web at www.interventioninstruction.org/techsupport.htm

IMPORTANT: While we will attempt to notify you via email regarding your progress, it is your responsibility to complete this program within the 30-day time frame. If you fail to complete this program within the required 30 days, you will be terminated from the program and you will be required to pay the extension fee of $150.00 for another 30 days.
